What this covers

This policy explains what information WicketModel collects through wicketmodel.com, how it's used, and how to get in touch about it. WicketModel is currently a free, pre-revenue project run by one person. There are no user accounts, no payments, and no tracking beyond what's described below.

Information we collect

Browsing the site itself doesn't require you to provide any personal information. The prediction archive, calibration data, and model explainer are all publicly viewable without signing up for anything.

If you choose to join the BBL waitlist using the email signup form on this site, we collect:

• Your email address, which you provide voluntarily

This form is provided by Beehiiv, a third-party email service. When you submit your email, it's sent directly to Beehiiv and stored on their platform, not on a server we operate. Beehiiv's own privacy policy governs how they handle and store that data, available at beehiiv.com/privacy.

How we use your information

Your email address is used only to:

• Notify you when WicketModel's BBL coverage and predictions launch
• Send occasional updates related to WicketModel (for example, major season milestones)

We do not sell, rent, or share your email address with any third party for marketing purposes. We do not use your email for anything beyond the purpose you signed up for.

Cookies and analytics

This site loads fonts from Google Fonts, which may involve a request to Google's servers when you visit the page. Google's handling of that request is governed by Google's privacy policy.

If WicketModel adds analytics tools in future (for example, to understand how many people visit the site), this policy will be updated to describe what's collected and how, before any such tool goes live.

Data retention and your rights

If you signed up for the BBL waitlist and want your email address removed, you can unsubscribe using the link in any email you receive, or contact us directly (see below) and we'll remove it from the list.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights regarding your personal data, including the right to access, correct, or delete information held about you. To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details below.

Changes to this policy

As WicketModel grows, for example when BBL coverage launches with paid tiers, this policy will be updated to reflect any new data collected (such as payment information, which would be handled by a payment processor like Stripe rather than stored directly). The "last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect the most recent revision.
